Spring in Buchanan!
By Mayor Sean Denison
It’s an exciting time to live in Buchanan. The weather is changing of course, but there is so much more than that to look forward to this Spring. Vaccinations are being carried out in an attempt to end the pandemic, government restrictions are being relaxed, and all of us are ready to gather with friends and family when it’s safe to do so. The Farmers Market will soon be starting up, as well as public events in The Common such as the Summer Concert series.
City Hall continues to field calls from potential business owners, enquiring about available buildings and properties. Existing businesses continue to find original, creative ways to cater to their customers. Redbud Hardware, The Sweet Shop, and others continue to enhance their buildings and businesses to make for a vibrant downtown. It’s exciting and fun to be a part of Buchanan.
In the coming issues of the Buchanan Chronicle, I will do my best to pass along information regarding the exciting changes taking place in our community. Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have, or if I can help you in any way.
Finally, thank you to the Buchanan Chronicle for keeping the tradition of a hometown newspaper alive. We appreciate your willingness to provide such an important community service.
Thank you, see you around town,
Sean Denison
