Hello from the Buchanan District Library

Spring has sprung! The trees are budding and flowers are blooming, especially around the Common Area. Be sure to come to the Farmer’s Marketing opening on May 1st and walk around the StoryWalk to read WHERE IS BEAR? by Leslea Newman.

BOOK REVIEW | Ashley Phillips, one of our volunteers and awesome patrons, wrote the following review of the book, The Mysterious Disappearance of Aidan S. (as told to his brother) by David Levithan:
“This book was very different. It was based on a kid named Aidan and he went missing for 6 days. His brother Lucas and the town searched for a long time. The 6th day his brother found him and he was acting differently. Aidan was talking about a place he went to when he was missing like Narnia. So, his brother Lucas just kept his on eye and his brother was fine. This book is based on the idea that you should always care about your family and never give up on them. It’s mostly for middle schoolers but anyone can read it. I think the author David Levithan writes a lot of great books but this one wasn’t my favorite. This book was pretty different and a pretty quick read. But you should still check it out!!“
