16th Annual Michiana Cruisers Benefit Car Show
by Publisher Jen Garry
McCoy Creek Recreation Area, near Buchanan High School, hosted Buchanan’s 16th Annual Michiana Cruisers Benefit Car Show Sunday, July 11, 2021. The weather actually managed to hold off throughout the 9am-2pm car, truck, and motorcycle show, allowing many in the community to show their car and/or to see in person all the amazing vehicles showcased.

R-Vets provided a donation-only feast for all to eat; the spread included corn on the cob, hotdogs, hamburgers, chips etc. Also provided at this event were face-painting, drawings, door prizes, and trophies. All proceeds and donations from this show went to a Veterans Affairs health center and our veterans, to whom we are all so very grateful.

About Michiana Cruisers: The Michiana Cruisers are big supporters of the Make a Wish Foundation, and raise money for the cause at their weekly cruise nights. Come out and join us and other car enthusiasts for some good conversation and lots of fun!
About R-Vets: Our main objective to support our Veterans at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. We do this through providing meals with picnics, parties and entertainment for those who are patients there and do not always have the opportunity to leave the facility to attend off-site events with family and friends. Some there are not able to leave their wards due to physical or mental restrictions. We provide these Veterans with snacks and camaraderie by visiting their wards and spending time with them one on one.
