Golfing Gaff
by Garrick Stubblefield
I love to play golf in the summer and bowling in the winter. So, this story happens to be an experience I had while golfing. I was golfing at our local Brookwood golf course with a buddy of mine that I enjoy golfing. Well, we were 5 holes in when it started to mist on the 6th hole and that is where the funny part comes into play.
I had a very good drive but on the next 4 hits I may have driven it a total of 25 yards on those 4 shots combined. So, I turned to my friend and said, “If I flub this shot, I’m done for the day.” Well, I lined up and sure enough I flubbed it and I was so mad I accidently threw my club into a tree to where it was too high for me to retrieve it.
So, a lesson to all you all golfers or wannabe golfers, don’t throw fits and throw your club to where you can’t retrieve it. The true funny thing about this other than the club going in the tree, you could see it lodged in between two tree branches and every time I play that course, I ask the owner if someone turned it in.
