Community Events and The Buchanan Chronicle
We want to highlight for you all the things to do around our Buchanan!
Hasn’t it been lovely being able to be outside doing things together? Hopefully everyone can milk all the summer we have left, for yourself and your whole family! A few upcoming events:
- American Legion Patriot Day Event Sat. 9/11 7pm at Buchanan Common.
- BACC Fall Golf Outing Fri. 9/17 Noon at Brookwood Golf Course.
- BASC Taco Fiesta Fundraiser Tues. 9/21 4:30-6:30pm at Buchanan Area Senior Center.
- BASC Rite Aid Flu Shot Clinic Tues. 9/28 10am-1pm at Buchanan Area Senior Center.
The excitement of fall’s newness, from back-to-school to the start of the holiday cycle, includes some new things for Buchanan too. A few new business spaces will be opening very soon:
- Bucktown Nutrition is moving to 105 Days Ave, opening in their new location on Monday, Sept. 6!
- The Sweet Shop is opening any day at 205 E Front St, keep an eye out! Can’t wait for some ice creams and other treats in this throwback space.
- Buchanan Scarecrow Charities‘ new building should be completed before the end of the year at 606 Carroll St.
