Have You “Herd”?
Next Friday, October 8, 2021 is the Buchanan High School Homecoming Parade! And did you hear that our very own hometown hero, Hannah Roberts, Olympic Silver Medalist of the Women’s BMX is going to be in the parade? The parade starts at 6pm down at the duck pond, then it heads west on Front Street to Tour Coupe, then to the football field. The Homecoming people are inviting any and all little or Jr. Bucks to ride their bikes in the parade with her. I am told that the young riders should be accompanied by an adult, which makes sense, oh and don’t forget their helmets!. The kids can even decorate their bikes in Bucktown colors and/or USA spirit gear. Also, the riders who join, line up at the parking lot between Smoke Vision and Citgo at 5:30pm. Make sure to share this with your friends. It sounds exciting!
So, come out and watch the Homecoming floats go by, the band playing the fight song, and whatever else is in the parade, oh and Hannah! I won’t be there as it’s not always good for doggies to be at parades because of loud noises, safety, etc…. But be sure to tell my canine friends all about it when you come home and take some photos. If you get some good photos of anyone in the parade, especially with Hannah, I believe that my adult human colleagues of The Buchanan Chronicle team would like to showcase them in the next issue!
