My name is Nick Pensari. I was raised in Union City, Michigan as the youngest of five children. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. Both of my parents worked in the education field for their entire careers. Both parents always instilled that education was very important and always made sure we did our best in school. During high school, I participated in football and basketball all four years.
Basketball is something I still enjoy doing in my pastime. Some of my other pastimes that I enjoy are fishing, kayaking, working out, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Upon graduating high school in 2003, I attended Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI and the University of Phoenix. This past June, I successfully completed the police academy through Kellogg. I began researching small towns like the one I grew up in, because I knew a small town is where I could develop my skills as a new police officer. The City of Buchanan truly stuck with me, and I felt I just needed to check it out.
One day I made a drive over to the town just to check it out and I knew when I drove around, that this was the place I wanted to be a Police Officer! I cannot thank Chief Tim Ganus and the Buchanan City Commissioners enough for the opportunity to work in such an awesome town. I truly look forward to meeting the residents of the city and helping in any way I can.
