New Clerk Joins the Team at Buchanan City Hall

Buchanan, Michigan – November 2, 2021

The City of Buchanan welcomes our new City Clerk, Kalla Langston. 

The role of City Clerk serves as a dedicated clerk to the City Commission, is responsible for overseeing all elections and voter registration in the city, as well as managing cemetery deeds and records of burial. 

Ms. Langston brings experience and energy to the City Clerk position having served four years as a Deputy Clerk at Lincoln Charter Township in Stevensville, where she became an Accredited Election Official. She brings expertise on running elections and maintaining voter rolls to the City of Buchanan. Says Kalla, “I look forward to serving the City of Buchanan. I’m passionate about voter education and keeping the public informed and up-to-date.” Ms. Langston also brings her extensive knowledge on cemetery management and record maintenance for burials.

Ms. Langston is a native to Southwest Michigan having grown up in Bridgman. She now lives in Berrien Township with her husband, two children and their two German Shepherd dogs. Ms. Langston is excited to get to know the community and explore all the great things the City of Buchanan has to offer. Says Langston, “My door is always open.”
