Apothica Teas in Niles MI Celebrating 2-year Anniversary and Recent Expansion with Ribbon Cutting

Our own writer, Miranda Barger, was on site at Apothica Teas in Niles MI on Wednesday, November 17 2021, for their 2-Year Anniversary / Expansion Ribbon Cutting event, and she captured some photos of the celebration. From Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce Press Release – November 11, 2021

The Greater Niles Chamber and owners of Apothica Teas would like to invite the community to join in celebrating the 2nd anniversary and a recent expansion of their storefront in downtown Niles.

Apothica Teas is a Victorian Steampunk-inspired tea room that specializes in custom tea blends and a lovely variety of light refreshments. Located on Main Street in downtown Niles, Apothica is a place to practice deliberate stillness and civilized mindfulness in a busy world. Offering products and works from local artisans and artists, Apothica Teas takes pride in serving the community we call home.

In a move that came sooner than expected, the owners acquired the space next door and are using it as an expansion of dining space. It can also be rented out for special events such as birthday parties, wedding or baby showers, holiday parties and more. The two rooms, named “the apothecary” and “the conservatory,” each have their own unique décor and vibe.

“I wasn’t planning on expanding so soon after a global pandemic, but the opportunity came and I didn’t want to let it pass up,” said the owner Laura Hollister.

The restaurant opened mere months before COVID shutdowns hit hard. Now, they serve as a beacon of resilience and are celebrating a successful two years of connecting the Niles community. To Hollister, the tea shop is a means of helping those in our community grow stronger together.

There will be light refreshments (including tea and snacks) provided. The official ribbon will be cut around 4:30 p.m.
