On Saturday, November 27, 2021, the City of Buchanan, MI joined together for Small Town Big Christmas 2021. There were so many fun, festive, family activities to kick off the holiday season, indoors and outdoors. Buchanan District Library had story time with Santa, ornament decorating, writing letters to Santa, and even had reindeer outside and in the parade. Buchanan Farmers’ Market hosted many vendors who had holiday treats and gifts for purchase.

As citizens lined Front Street downtown, the parade floats gathered and lined up at McCoy Pond Duck Park. Led by Parade Grand Marshals Mr. & Mrs. Falkenstein (owners of Buchanan Floral Company), the parade headed west through downtown and then turned south on Oak Street to arrive at Buchanan Common for the official Lighting Ceremony. After the festivities and the lights were lit, the Tin Shop Theatre hosted Dave Van Dyke’s “The Nicest Place in America Concert”.

A very special Thanks to Stacey Martin for spearheading and organizing the entire day’s events. Enjoy a gallery of photos of the day below, Happy Holidays!
