As you look on the residential streets and downtown in Buchanan you are beginning to see signs of Christmas. Lights encircle doorways and porches, merry lighted trees sparkle in windows, and Christmas music is beginning to fill the brisk air. There is one more special happening taking place on Sunday evening, December 5th at 6:30 PM as well . . . the 2021 BAMA (Buchanan Area Ministerial Association) Community Christmas Carol Sing at Faith United Methodist Church, 728 N. Detroit St, Buchanan, MI. This is the 44th year for this event. Churches throughout the surrounding area come together to share the message “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and goodwill to all”, as the herald angels told of the birth of Jesus to the shepherds near Bethlehem so many years ago. Representatives from thirteen local churches will be participating in this annual event to spread the “Good News”! Please join BAMA, and the area Buchanan churches to kick off the holiday season at your home!
In order for Buchanan to help control the spread of COVID-19, the wearing of masks is strongly encouraged. If you have chosen not to be vaccinated you are urged to remain masked throughout the event to keep yourself and others safe. There is no admission fee to the Buchanan Area Ministerial Association Community Christmas Carol Sing 2021, however a free will offering will be accepted at the door upon entry or departure. Come and support the churches and their parishioners. Come and sing your favorite Christmas carols!
Come and Celebrate!
