Our program, People Inspiring People, is asking for people to crochet and help create mittens for the Buchanan Preschool called “Warm Hearts – Warm Hands”.

Warm Hearts – Warm Hands
This Holiday Season we are asking for a few hours of time from our friends who are able to crochet and to help create mittens for the preschool children attending Buchanan’s Preschool program. So many times we see these little guys out for recess who have forgotten their mittens or don’t have any and it is just heart breaking.
That is why, this year, we are going to provide every preschool student with a pair of mittens (that have a cord attached to run through the sleeves) that will not get lost!
An easy crochet pattern is available on the BASC website or you can get a copy of the pattern at the center. If you need yarn or a crochet hook, we have plenty available that we will gladly share.

If you have any questions, feel free to stop in at BASC on Fridays for Fiber Friends, between 1 and 3 pm. There will be several ladies available who will be happy to assist you.
We are hoping to gift these mittens to the children before Christmas break, please, let’s make this happen! Thank you!
The Buchanan Chronicle Team, thank you for all you are doing in sharing what is happening in our beautiful town! Have a joyful and blessed holiday!
Thank you for supporting the Buchanan Area Senior Center!
