
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Brandywine Elementary School Student Credit Union

Brandywine Elementary School celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Bobcat Student Credit Union on Wednesday, January 5th at 2:15pm. The Bobcat Student Credit Union, a division of Honor, is located inside the school, led by the students with the help of Honor team members, and designed to teach children the importance of saving at a young age. Honor has been partnering with schools for over 20 years and currently operates 20 student credit unions across its member center communities. The team at Honor is looking forward to getting to know the students here at Brandywine and look forward to helping set students up for a successful financial future! The Bobcat Student Credit Union will be open every other Wednesday from 8:30am-9:00am.
Leading the assembly was Honor’s Community Assistant Vice President, Karol Behrle. Joining her in attendance were Honor team members, Michigan Senator Kim LaSata, District Director Daniel Carrick, Brandywine Community Schools Superintendent Karen Weimer, and Brandywine Elementary Principal James Boger.
