Welcome to the 23rd issue everyone! Last week on February 24, our team celebrated our 1 year anniversary of The Buchanan Chronicle becoming a business! We reminisced on articles/events that were our favorites. If I remember correctly they were: the development for the city of Buchanan meeting at the Common, Summer 2021 Olympics Watch Party in Buchanan, having a booth at the Buchanan Farmers’ Market, the Memorial Day parade, interviewing Hannah Roberts, our Christmas party and a “Now That’s Funny” article on waffles. There were many fun things to choose from and to come up with just one was quite hard.
We have some community events coming up in the near future here in Buchanan, so you will be seeing our team out and about. We are thrilled when we cover and report on an event that is unique to Buchanan and we have learned that you, our readers, have enjoyed those kinds of articles. Thank you for taking the time to read them. Also, thank you for bringing them to our attention and continue to do so.
Our next issue comes out March 19 and you will see a combined “Note from the Publisher and Editor” from Jen and I. This will be the anniversary of our first issue! I wanted to let you know that we started a “Poll Tuesday.” Each Tuesday, you will see a small and short poll to take on our social media pages of Instagram and Facebook. If you haven’t liked/followed us yet on those platforms, please do and share with your family and friends, especially those that might live somewhere else but have ties to Buchanan. I still keep up on the things from where I came from in Fruitport, Michigan and I like to hear what is going on there. So, I would like to think that others feel the same after they have moved from Buchanan.
Happy Readings,
Rebecka Hoyt
