14th Annual Chili-Walk Cook-Off
Buchanan, MI – March 29, 2022
The Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Buchanan Meadows Meridian Senior Living is, once again, gearing up for the best chili walk in the area.
We are back after missing a year due to Covid-19. Buchanan may be a small town, but when it comes to serving chili, we do it big!
On Thursday, April 7, 2022, local businesses and organizations will standoff to see who has the best chili in Buchanan. The public is encouraged to participate in the sampling, and each attendee may cast a vote for their favorite chili and best-named chili.
There will be a TWO DOLLAR; $2.00 charge for each participant/spoon. A portion of the money will once again go to a local non-profit organization. This year the Buchanan Garden Club will be the recipient.
This year’s Chili Challenge will be held downtown in a progressive fashion with the Lehman’s Farmhouse being the start and endpoint. Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Each contestant will be matched up with a local business to showcase both the chili and their place of business. Visitors will go door-to-door to sample and mingle. Downtown Buchanan businesses are invited to share their spaces and give the community a chance to get to know them better.
