Pack 541 Blue and Gold banquet/ crossover ceremony was held Saturday April 2nd 3:00 to 6:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in Buchanan.

The Blue and Gold Banquet is a celebration of the Cub Scout anniversary of 112 years. It is also a formal event to acknowledge the scouts achievements. The cub scout ranks are kindergarten Lions, first grade Tigers, second grade Wolf, third grade Bear and fourth and fifth grade Webelos.

In conjunction with the Blue and Gold we are doing a crossover ceremony for five Webelo scouts. They have reached the age to say goodbye to cub scouts, cross over the bridge and be welcomed into Boy Scout Troop 541.

Webelos crossing over from Pack 579 are Jake “JT” Shroder, Devin Lawson and Evalyn Spell. Their den leader is Rob Shroder.

Webelos crossing over from Pack 541 are  Wyatt York and Degan Green. Their den leader is Wendy Chapman.

These five Webelos will also be awarded the highest award in Cub Scouts, the Arrow of Light. The Cub Scout Arrow of Light is equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Scout award. It is the only award from Cub Scouts that is worn on the Boy Scout uniform and adult uniform.

First United Methodist church is the sponsor for both Cub Scout Pack 541 and Boy Scout Troop 541.
