Buchanan College Club’s ‘Grand Centennial Gala’

The Buchanan College Club is celebrating 100 years in 2022.  They asked the community to celebrate this milestone with them. An event was originally planned for February 2022, but with a COVID surge, was postponed until April 9, 2022.  The event was held at Orchard Hills Country Club where a dinner of salmon and pork tenderloin was served. 

Approximately 70 people were in attendance for the dinner, dancing, and silent auction.  The auction items included a variety of items from stained glass to farm-raised ground beef; from pizzas to rounds of golf.  The College Club would like to sincerely thank all those that donated to the silent auction, and all those who bought from it. 

There were 27 unique buyers of 46 auction items and over $4,000 earned!  Mr. Phil Place provided DJ services and the money due for the services was donated directly to the MegaHurtz Robotics team.  A true win-win for the community.  This was truly a fun evening that many said should become an annual event!
