ONE BUCHANAN AGEISM FORUM
Saturday, May 14, 2:00—4:00 pm
Learn more about aging at One Buchanan’s Ageism Forum at the Buchanan Area Senior Center

As our population ages, many issues arise and need to be addressed through public discourse. Ageism involves serious issues and consequences for people’s health. Many elders find the rapidly changing world confusing and downright frightening. They may experience poorer physical and mental health, the reality of social isolation, loneliness, financial insecurity, and in some cases various forms of abuse. These result in a decreased quality of life impacting the daily lives as individuals age.
The format will involve a panel of experts, several who live in Buchanan. The topics will be Aging, Perceptions of Ageism, the Complexities of Multiple Generations in the Workplace, Discrimination, Elder Abuse and Scams. Learn about One Buchanan and the Ageism Forum by engaging with leaders of the group.
