Buchanan’s Annual Thrill On The Hill is Back

Since 2012, the City of Buchanan has thrown the most distinctive block party for residents, locals, and visitors alike. The hill on Front St that leads directly into Downtown Buchanan is converted into a 500ft waterslide for children, families, and your local daredevil to launch themselves down before safely gliding into the landing pool.
There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Little ones play in the “beach” of sand and obstacles while Friday night is reserved for the adult-only midnight run. Join the fun with all day sliding, games, food, vendors, contests, and more! Thursday night is Neon Night featuring a concert by The 1985! Come out in your 1980’s flare and ride the slide in blacklights with glow in the dark fun. We’re also bringing back the band P.S. Dump your Boyfriend for a concert Friday evening starting at 8:30 pm with an adult only midnight run down the hill. The hill will stay open late, and the music will be playing as we create a beach party with a beer tent and dance floor at the bottom of the run.
“We are hoping that Buchanan and surrounding communities will come together as they have in the past to make our come back better than any of our past events,” says Ashley Regal, Executive Director of the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce.

Events will kick off on Thursday, August 4th at 4:00 pm and last until 10:00 pm on Saturday, August 6th.
