A Note from the Editor – Issue 36

by Rebecka Hoyt, Editor

We are halfway through September and I hope that your summer has been a great one this year. This summer my family has had more Michigan visits compared to years past and you’ll get a chance to read about one of them in a future issue. As fall is only days away, soak up the nice, warm and cooler days/nights, enjoy a bonfire with s’mores, the kids sports, and band competitions!

As you know, The Buchanan Chronicle has sponsored a scarecrow downtown Buchanan on the corner of Front and Main Streets. Stop by Claire Clarity and take a selfie with her and share it with us on our Facebook page! Thank you to the Buchanan Scarecrow Charities for making these awesome scarecrows and putting them up as well as taking them down. These volunteers have great talents! I am sure that they wouldn’t mind a few extra hands for the take down on Nov. 1. You can read more about them in the 35th issue.

Attention Buchanan Athletic Parents! Please submit your photos of your child(ren) sporting/band events. Email them to: buchananchronicle@att.net along with a short photo caption and score of the game, date, and who they played. You will receive credit for the photo. Please note that not all photos submitted may be used which is dependent on space. Any questions, email or call 269-697-9874.

I hope that you will enjoy this issue as much as the last one was enjoyed by many people. When our last issue came out, we had the most views on that Saturday since a Saturday back in February. Thank you for reading and sharing our issues & articles. I know that some of my relatives and friends who are out of town like to read about our small town and all that it has to offer us. We might be small, but we are mighty in heart!❤️

Happy Reading,
Rebecka Hoyt
