Hey Buchanan! Come join us for Faith & Blue weekend 2022 October 8 & 9! Faith & Blue 2022 is a nation-wide event for police departments to connect within their communities and form relationships to where bridges are built and break biases.

Have you ever had a question that would require an answer from the police, but you were too shy, or just blew it off? Well, now you can have a relaxed time asking those questions as you have some pastries with our caring police officers! Join them on Saturday, October 8 for a “Q & A Pastries with Police” from 11am – 2pm in the auditorium at Life Action Ministries on Niles-Buchanan Rd next to the southbound US 31 exit. Also, help save a life with the “Blood Drive” mobile truck of the South Bend Medical Foundation from 10am – 2pm will be in the parking lot. Get a chance to possibly sign a squad car where you can write encouraging messages to the officers too!
If you can’t join during that time, come to the “Stuff-A-Squad” car with food/monetary donations for RAM LOVE from 3-4:30pm at the Common in the parking lot of the RedBud City Center. Be the first 150 people to donate and receive a “Buchanan Strong” bracelet. Let’s see how many squad cars can be filled! Wouldn’t that be a sight to see. If you are unable to bring your donation, please call the police department at 269-695-5120 for a no contact pick-up. See the flyer for more details on items to donate.
Sunday, October 9 events start bright-eyed and bushy-tailed while the Blue visits Buchanan area churches. Below is a list of churches that they will be visiting for 30 minute intervals as they go from one church to another. I highly recommend for you to visit a church if you haven’t been to one in a while or never been to a church. When the police officers are there in uniform, some will speak or even perhaps sing, which is neat to see and learn about them!
