  • Updates for BHS, BMS, Moccasin, Ottawa, Athletics & BVA, Business Office, Food Service, Information Technology, Transportation, and Assistant Superintendent were provided respectively.

Presentations

  • School Highlight – Ms. Rebecca Kaltenbach, BCS Food Service Supervisor presented to the board. She informed board members of the change in pricing for school breakfast and lunches, donations to the Bucky Fund, and new cafeteria tables at elementary schools.
  • Superintendent Robinson presented to the board. She thanked the community for their support to our district and reviewed many back to school updates.

Information/Reports & New Business

  • Human Resources Committee, September 7th Meeting – Mrs. Writer informed the board the committee discussed resignations, transfers, new hires, salary schedule for coaches, van drivers, suggestions for teacher mentors, conference, paraprofessional updates, equity for students with additional needs and concerns of some of the Ottawa teachers.

Questions & Comments from Board Members

  • Mrs. Berry shared that she was made aware that Mrs. Robinson and Mr. Pruett had an assembly and discussion with the students about the consequences of decisions and thanked Mrs. Robinson for the communication to the community.
  • Mrs. Writer shared that she loves seeing Buchanan alumni come back as staff.
  • Dr. Burnett thanked the board for their patience and support.
