17th Annual Trek-or-Treat 2022
by Rebecka Hoyt, Editor & Photographer
978 kids and 905 adults made their way along McCoy Creek Trail for the 17th annual Trek-or-Treat on Saturday, October 29 at 12:30pm – 2pm. The weather was perfect with blue skies and plenty of sun shining through orange leaves.
29 characters lined the trail to hand out candy, in addition to some football players from Buchanan’s JV and Varsity football teams, Leo’s Club, and the Buchanan Scarecrow Charities ladies.
Attendees parked in the Clark Labs parking lot off of Front Street. Then made their way to the gate of the Schirmer Parkway entrance, to check in and then enjoy the one-way loop along the trail. Cash donations were also accepted to help keep the trail a “gem of our city” as stated on the Trek-or-Treat Facebook event page.
