Bucktown Christmas Success!

I wanted to thank the Chamber of Commerce, The DPW, the City, the business owners, the sponsors and all the volunteers that helped make Bucktown Christmas a huge success! I was amazed at the amount of people who were lined up to enjoy the holiday parade, who participated in the costume contest, and attended the tree lighting at the common. It is an incredible amount of work to get the event planned, and to have it go off without a hitch is a testament to the folks who made it happen. Congratulations to all involved. I also want to send a very special Thank You to Santa and Mrs. Claus for making it to the parade. What a great event.
As we head into the holidays this year, please keep our local shops, businesses and restaurants in mind when looking for gifts. They need all of our support, and its a great gift to them if we can continue to shop and dine with them throughout the winter months.
I would like to wish everyone in and around Buchanan a happy, safe holiday season.

About The City of Buchanan, MI: The City operates under the Commission–Manager form of government as prescribed by the City Charter. Under this model the City Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the City, with the Buchanan City Commission’s main function being legislative and setting important policies that chart the future course of Buchanan. The City Commission is made up of five (5) members who serve four (4) year terms. The Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem are selected at the first meeting in November following the City election.
