A Note from the Editor – Issue 50
by Rebecka Hoyt, Editor
Welcome to the 50th issue of The Buchanan Chronicle! 50 ISSUES, WOW! Thank you so much for reading along with us and for those who have submitted news to share within our community and those surrounding us in nearby cities, other states and countries. We could not do it without you. Please remember to keep sending us sports scores and photos, upcoming events/news, as well as opinion pieces.
In today’s issue, I highly recommend to checkout the Mayor’s Memo, as well as the puzzles to keep your mind sharp and active! Also, there are a couple events coming up that may interest you.
If you still haven’t taken our printed issues survey please do that NOW at this link: www.thebuchananchronicle.com on our home page of the website. We are planning to have a printed issue around mid – late June of this year and we want to have an idea of how many issues we will need to print and have available for those to grab for FREE in our community and not have too little or too much. Our printed issue will come out quarterly, 4x/year. You can also have it mailed to you via a paid subscription. In May, we will let you know when it will be time to sign-up for it.
I hope you have been able to soak up the beautiful sun this past week, and yes we need the rain for the flowers and trees to green up. Earth Day is coming up on April 22, so do something extra nice for the planet as in carpooling, picking up some trash while on a walk and picking up after your dog, drink your water from a reusable water bottle instead of buying bottled water, or even volunteer to help plant some trees with the Buchanan Tree Friends in the North Side Buchanan neighborhood at Victory Park at 9am. Look for more details on the Buchanan Tree Friends Facebook page.
Happy Reading,
Rebecka Hoyt
