Mayor’s Memo – A Great Time To Be In Buchanan

A Great Time To Be In Buchanan

by Mayor Sean Denison

It’s that time of year!  The trees are blooming, it’s almost parade time, and our town is bustling with activity.  This weekend is the first weekend for the Buchanan Farmers Market.  There will be nearly fifty vendors there on opening day!  There will be programming at the library and other fun things for the kids as well.  Saturday is also Spring Clean Up in Buchanan.  You can take all that stuff clogging up your garage or attic over to River Street and dispose of it free of charge.

There are several construction projects happening downtown.  The Rowlands continue their efforts to rehabilitate the Hometown Video store and Honor Credit Union is making progress on what will be their new home on Main Street.  Thank you both for your efforts to improve the City.

Starting mid-May, the food trucks will be lining Days Avenue for lunch on Mondays.  I have heard that there will be live music as well.  This will be an awesome long lunch break – tell your friends. (not your boss)

The weather has finally broke for the better.  Let’s all get out and enjoy all of the wonderful things our town has to offer.

Thank you, see you around town,
Sean Denison, Mayor
